Migrant Workers Don't Have Health Care
Many migrant workers do not seek medical treatment until their problems become too serious to ignore."The delay in seeking treatment is caused by a language barrier and lack of Spanish translators, fear of being deported, an unwillingness to take time off from work and a lack of transportation."
Many farms argue that production is dependent on the migrant workers, many of whom are illegal. This creates a strange situation because if they go to a medical clinic the workers risk being caught, but if left untreated they risk serious medical problems.
