States Leading Universal Health Care
While the hope of nationwide universal health care may be a long way away, states are stepping up to the plate. Two states to be watched include California and Massachusetts. A plan in California,
"calls for an employer tax on payroll if no insurance is offered and a health care provider tax."
About 80 percent of America's uninsured are working because they make to much to qualify for aid programs but too much not enough to afford health insurance. This would help the working poor.
