Walmart and Union Leaders Meet to Support Health Care
Executives from Walmart, a few other corporations, and union leaders met to support quality and affordable health insurance for all Americans by 2012.
Walmart has been criticized in the past for failing to give it's employees health insurance. At the meeting Walmart did not pledge money or state that they would offer healthcare for their employees.
Walmart's CEO, Lee Scott, stated, "Government alone won't and can't solve this crisis. By following this campaign's common sense principles, we believe America can have high quality, affordable and accessible health care by 2012."
